Oligopeptide-3 description

Oligopeptide-3 is a synthetic (lab-engineered) peptide made up of the amino acids alanine, lysine, phenylalanine, and tridecapeptide with leucine. Manufacturers of oligopeptide-3, also known by the trade name Creapep ®, claim it binds with skin cell receptors to trigger increases of elastin, hyaluronic acid, and factors that increase skin resilience to fight visible signs of aging. While there isn’t yet a breadth of independent, peer-reviewed research backing some of these claims, peptides are hydrating and skin conditioning ingredients that do help improve the look and feel of skin. The recommended use level of oligopeptide-3 in skin care products is 0.01–0.1%, which speaks to the potency of this peptide and its affinity for skin.
